As large as the USA, the Great Pacific Waste Patch is the biggest dump in the world. Ed Cumming discovers that it keeps getting bigger, and could be poisoning us all.

When we go to the beaches of Cyprus where some are still wild and untouches by man, one can say that these plastic wastes which float on the seam are invading the beach rendering it somewhat spoiled. You can add to that, the fact of a popullation of poor "not-well-educated" people who never learned to deal with rubbish properly and thinks that when they do not see it, it is not danger anymore.

All the waist that we observe on the North Cyprus shores can even come from the far away Greece.

We have to understand that currents can carry things over long distances in months but the rubbish eventually reaches far corners of the earth. You have said "Small World" ?
